Global Perspectives through the Narratives of Ireland

This is a fully funded online course for students, introducing them to the shared narratives of the USA and Ireland. This is an asynchronous online course with assignments and evaluations and can be used as an elective course, an extra course content for faculty, as a part of pre-trip programming, and for part-time or non-traditional students. This is an excellent course for students who do not have access to a study abroad trip, but are interested in exploring another culture as part of their learning journey. It can be set up as a class course and the modules can be selected by faculty according to preference.
Imperfect Parallels: The American Civil Rights Movement and the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Movement

This ten-module online course examines the striking parallels and critical differences between two movements that reshaped American and Irish-British societies. Students hear directly from individuals involved in each movement, alongside interviews with leading scholars and experts addressing both historic and contemporary civil rights issues. The course supports learning in history, politics, sociology, and social justice–focused programs.
Irish Language Beginner Course

This course is an accessible introduction to the Irish language and its cultural significance. This beginner-level Irish language course introduces students to foundational concepts through eight structured lessons. Learners acquire practical conversational phrases presented clearly and in context, while also exploring the history of the Irish language and culturally significant locations associated with it. No prior language experience is required.
