The CCID-Asia Institute Global Education Scholarship

CCID and The Asia Institute are excited to share a unique scholarship opportunity for students interested in a global experience in Asia in 2026-27. Asia is a critical geopolitical destination for business and education while also having a rich, ancient history.

These scholarships are only available to students currently attending a CCID member college.

Global Learning Experience Program Criteria

  • The experience must be a short-term faculty-led program (2-8 weeks in length), a semester-long study abroad program, a full year study abroad program, an internship (6 weeks minimum), a virtual learning program (4 weeks minimum) or the conducting of scholarly research (4 weeks minimum).
  • Locations in Asia are defined as Bhutan, Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong SAR), India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
  • The global learning experience must have a start date between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026.
  • The program destination must be different from the students’ nationality or citizenship (including dual citizenship applicants).

Applicant Eligibility

  • ​Applicants must articulate how their global experience in Asia will help them achieve their lifelong learning, personal and/or career goals.
  • Students with no previous international travel experience, limited international travel experience, lower socio-economic background or otherwise an under-represented student are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Scholarship distributions are based on the quantity and quality of student applications.

Please note:
  • Submissions must be original works created specifically in response to the scholarship theme. Unrelated or repurposed assignments/projects will not be considered.
  • Funds for the scholarship will be sent directly to the institution and applied directly to the student's account.
