The multi-dimensional work and skills of international educators are best fostered through a strong network of colleagues and partners. CCID provides this network, prioritizing high-impact opportunities that lead to strong results.
CCID has multiple avenues towards membership. For most membership opportunities, an individual must be a part of an accredited, degree-offering institution of higher education located anywhere in the world. CCID is an institutional membership association. Once a member, all employees and faculty at the institution have access to member benefits.
For Outreach Partners, affiliation with an institution, business or organization is preferred, though researchers and self-employed individuals are also welcome.

Membership FAQs
See below to receive answers to the member questions we hear most often. If you'd like some personal assistance, contact us any time.
How do I become a CCID member?
Click on the “Join Now” button and register your institution, organization or yourself based on the categories listed above.
What is the member application process like?
Once you submit a membership application online, you will receive a confirmation email of your submission. If you selected "pay via credit card" for your membership during the application process, you will become a member right away. If you selected to "receive an invoice" for your membership payment, one will be sent to you within 24-48 hours. Once payment is received, membership officially begins.
How can I pay for my membership?
You may pay for your membership online via a credit card or by check. If you prefer to pay by check, you must request an invoice during checkout. Your membership does not become active until payment is received.
How do I renew my membership?
You will receive a notification from CCID 60 days prior to your renewal date to renew your membership. Membership due dates occur on a rolling basis. Therefore, if you paid for your last membership on July 1, 2026, your next membership payment will be on July 1, 2027. A notification would be sent to you on May 1, 2027 with auto-reminders leading up to the due date.
Is my membership individual or institutional?
Most CCID memberships are institutional. This means a membership payment enables all faculty, staff and students at your college or university to take advantage of member rates and resources. There is no need to purchase multiple memberships for multiple staff! If you would like to join CCID as an unaffiliated/retired/student member, that is an individual membership and you may apply for that here.
What if I want to upgrade my membership?
Whether you are a 1-year member who wants to upgrade to a 3-year member or a Board Member, the process is easy! Simply contact CCID staff or [email protected] requesting a membership upgrade and you will receive a new invoice and a new renewal date as needed. Your current membership duration will not be cut short during an upgrade.
I am from a 4-year university. Can I become a CCID member?
Yes! CCID welcomes universities who are interested in enhancing their engagement with community, technical and vocational college members for various partnership opportunities. View University Partner benefits and be sure to select the University Partner category when joining the membership.
What are the expectations of an Outreach Partner?
Outreach Partners support and extend the mission of CCID for the purpose of knowledge sharing and networking opportunities. Outreach Partners should provide tangible benefits to all CCID members including scholarships, grants, discounts, special program access, etc. By providing these benefits, Outreach Partners will enjoy structured promotional opportunities by CCID to its member community. Depending on the nature of Outreach Partner offerings, CCID may enter into a Memorandum of Understanding or contract with them.
How can I view or access my membership account?
To access your member account or view your institution's billing history, open invoices, payment portal, communication history and full CCID member list, click on the Account Login button at the top of the CCID web page.
