Membership
Are CCID members only from the United States?
No, members are welcome from all over the world.
When does my membership start?
Membership begins once member dues are paid. This may be different from a registration date, especially if payment is not submitted at the time of registration.
What is my membership start date and end date?
Your membership start date is the date your member dues are paid. Your membership end date is the day before your start date the following year (e.g. May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026). Memberships are on a rolling basis.
If I renew my membership early, does my end date change?
No. In order for you to benefit from a full 12-month membership, your original membership end date will remain the same even if you pay one day, one week or one month in advance.
What do I get discounts on with my membership?
Members receive many benefits such as discounts on CCID annual conference registration, CCID professional development programs and other special events by CCID.
Can I access the CCID Member Engagement Hub if I am not a member?
No, the CCID Member Engagement Hub is available to active CCID members only.
If I am late with my membership payment, when do I lose my benefits?
Technically, your membership benefits end the day after your membership fees are due, if left unpaid.
If my institution is not in the U.S. or Canada, how do we know if we count as a “community college”?
Your institution must be a community-based community, technical or vocational college with a mission similar to U.S. and Canadian community colleges. Your institution must have regional, national or state accreditation(s), offer associate-level degree programs and short-term certificates.

Are University Partners the same as 1-Year or 3-Year Community College members?
University Partners receive the same benefits as 1-Year and 3-Year community college members, but pay a different annual fee ($750).
