This award is named in honor of Dr. Werner O. Kubsch (1922–1992), a German citizen who deeply valued the community college concept and the transformative power of international education. Dr. Kubsch was the founder and president of Studiosus Reisen München, which grew to become the largest independent educational and cultural travel organization in Europe. Throughout his career, he championed global learning opportunities and fostered cross-cultural understanding. His vision and commitment established a strong and enduring relationship with CCID, making him a respected figure within our community.
In recognition of his legacy, this award seeks to celebrate individuals and institutions that embody his spirit. When evaluating nominations, in addition to the established criteria, we will place special emphasis on creativity, innovation, and demonstrable impact in advancing international education. |
