The Werner Kubsch Award is presented annually to an international educator from a CCID member institution who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in international education related to community colleges and similar institutions worldwide.
A nominee must be a leading advocate for international education through curriculum/culture development, study abroad, faculty exchanges, educational linkages, or other international projects at his or her institution; and should exemplify career dedication to the field.

New 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund Grant Competition!
NAFSA, Partners of the Americas, and the U.S. State Department have announced that applications are now being accepted for a new 100,000 Strong in the Americas grant competition. Institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Mexico, and the United States are eligible to apply for programs promoting study abroad. For more information:

AC 2017 Call for Proposals is now open!
We are now accepting proposals for our 41st Annual Conference! This year's theme, Aligning the Stars, challenges participants and presenters to explore how connecting resources, ideas and opportunities promotes global citizenship.
The CCID Annual Conference will be held February 18 - 20, 2017 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, Texas.

AC 2017 Planning Committee:
We are looking for 1-2 more volunteers who would like to assist in the planning of the AC. Time commitment would consist of biweekly phone calls and additional time outside of the calls based on delegated tasks. Meetings will begin the first week of September.
AC 2017 Proposal Reviewers:
We need 1-2 more volunteers who would be willing to take some time to score AC 2017 conference proposals. The review process has been streamlined and typically does not entail a large time commitment. The busiest time would be October 1-7, 2016.

Join ISAI on a Site Visit to Ireland! Limited spots available!
CCID Outreach Partner ISAI is offering places to CCID study abroad organizers and faculty the opportunity to attend their Ireland site visit this coming October 12-19, 2016. The site visit, which is part-funded, offers faculty and administrators a sample of the short-term faculty led trips that are available for community colleges in Ireland.
