Lone Star College
held its 13th Annual International Education Conference this past Friday, April 22, coinciding with Earth Day 2016. This conference originated as a result of Title VI funding by the U.S. Department of Education, awarded to LSC-North Harris for the development of International Education initiatives and programs. The aim of the conference is to gather expert speakers to dialogue with community college faculty, administrators and students about best practices in international education. This year's focus was on the global environment. You can find more information about the conference here: http://www.lonestar.edu/iec.htm
CCID was pleased to have an exhibitor table at the event. Since we are still new to Houston and being hosted by LSC, we let people know that we are based at the LSC University Park campus. We also shared information about our partnerships with Cross Cultural Solutions
and provided information on CCID's Latin America & Caribbean Forum (LACF) which will be held in San Antonio this July 16-18, 2016 and Madison College's 6-hour pre-conference training that will be offered. More information on the LACF will be coming soon to your inboxes!
