Curriculum Development Workshop!

2016 Community College Collaborative Workshop
Human Rights, Social Justice, and Global Security: Addressing Inequality in an International Frame
June 17-18, 2016

This is a two day curriculum development workshop on international human rights, social justice, and global security. Selected applicants will receive a $200 stipend, and for those outside of Dane County, WI, they will also receive a $300 travel stipend. Applications are due May 2, 2016.

The Institute for Regional and International Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is coordinating this workshop, funded by its Title VI National Resource Center grant from the International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE) office of the US Department of Education. This workshop is co-sponsored by the Center for Global Studies, Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington and Madison Area Technical College (Madison College) Center for International Education.


World Federation of Colleges And Polytechnics (WFCP) 2016 World Congress

CCID Outreach Partner World Federation of Colleges And Polytechnics (WFCP) will be holding their 2016 World Congress in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil from September 23-25, 2016. This event will bring together leaders of educational institutions of professional and technical training and education from around the world. It will be hosted by the National Council for the Federal Network of Vocational, Scientific and Technological Education Institutions (Conif) and organized by the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes).

CCID is heading an Education Fair to Costa Rica to recruit students and meet foreign partners. 

FAIR DATES: April 21 - 22, 2016
TRAVEL DATES: April 20 - 23, 2016

Registration Deadline: 11:59 PM US CST, this Friday, March 25th!
Note: Trip requires a minimum of 10 community colleges, and has capacity for no more than 15 colleges.

MDC Receives Diversity Abroad Award!

We would like to extend our congratulations to Miami Dade College as they were recently awarded the Diversity Abroad Award for Innovative Programming for Diversity & Inclusion in Education Abroad. They are the first community college to receive this award.
